We'd love to see some auditions for Erica as she's a vital role in order to complete our first plot arc.
We've already discussed, and we're adding four new characters. Information about said characters can be found here
Hey members and lurkers alike, we have a very important announcement to make. To cut to the chase, Blood Laced Moon is closing down, and allow us to explain why we’ve come to this decision.
Firstly, we never meant for this to happen. We put a lot of hard work into making BLM. Writing plots, subplots, pages and characters, making graphics and morphing a theme that’s unique to our site, etc… it was a lot of work, but it was worth it because we are so proud of the result. Since then, we’ve also put time and effort into keeping things going. We came up with fun events and prompts to help spice things up, we helped members with subplots for their characters, we’ve kept on top of activity to free up characters and invite new people into our amazing family. And mostly important, we kept the main as active as we could, as well as remaining active on our own characters. The bottom line is, closing was the last thing on our minds. We had ideas for future plot shuffles and even a few new original ideas of our own.
Regrettably, those won’t be happening because things haven’t been running as smoothly as we’d have liked them to. Activity in the first week was spectacular. People were plotting, developing relationships between characters, writing and gif-chatting. Our first event was a complete success, as well as our first prompt. However, for reasons unknown to us, this all started to slow down. The movement of the dash grew slower and slower. People were coming on less, and we were having to do activity checks on a regular basis (rather than twice a week as we’d originally planned). We found some weren’t coming on for days, only to post a starter and a few replies later before disappearing again. These patterns increased, and with it we felt that maybe people were losing interest because our activity warnings were going unnoticed. Of course, when a few people lose interest, more and more follow suit. We’ve lost too many important characters because of this over the past week, and it’s becoming harder to refill those roles as each day passes.
We both considered ways we could revive the dash by having our first full moon earlier, as well as the plot drop we wrote up with the death of a student. Though few characters reacted to it, it didn’t relight activity in the way we hoped it would. Our second prompt hasn’t received much attention either, so overall, activity really hasn’t improved. We were planning the plot shuffle for this current weekend, as well as new characters, but we feared our efforts would go to nought. With so many having lost interest and many characters being reopened, we believe this turns off potential new members alone. Promoting didn’t really seem to help in this department either. We really didn’t want to write everything up and have it all prepared, just to have it be a bust as our plot drop was.
It’s all down to activity, and we feel as admins, we’ve done all we can. This was a decision we didn’t want to come to, but feel there’s nothing more that can be done. We’d like to thank everyone who auditioned, everyone who participated and everyone who’s remained loyal and active. We couldn’t have come this far without you! We probably won’t be making another roleplay in the TVD community, because we’ve noticed most TVD-related roleplays seem to end up with this inevitability in the recent months. We wish everyone the best in their roleplaying careers and hope we can write with all you wonderful people again someday.
It’s time for another activity check! The following characters haven’t been on in 4 days and we didn’t get any warnings about their inactivity. Unfortunately, we’ll have to ask you guys to unfollow:
Stefan Salvatore is seventeen years old. Everyone thinks he’s a student but he really a vampire and he celebrates his birthday on November 5th. People say he looks like Paul Wesley and his character is currently available for auditions.
L E T T H E P A S T H A U N T Y O U
Falling in love has proven to be toxic for Stefan in the many decades he’s lived for. During his short-lived life as a human, Stefan was taken aback when a striking young woman arrived to stay in their family home. Claiming to be an orphan from Atlanta, Charlotte Bourne seemed sweet, loyal and honest in the first few weeks he got to know her. The two drew closer and Stefan became helplessly in love with her; or so he thought. When his older brother and best friend Damon returned home from war, it wasn’t long before their picture-perfect lives started falling apart. Damon too fell for the charms of Miss Bourne and in time, both brothers were sharing her affections. Charlotte claimed she couldn’t choose, insisting she loved both boys equally. She was selfish and entitled, but something was preventing Stefan from knowing what she was really like; as though he was blinded by the sudden love he had for her. However, it was after a passionate night together that Stefan discovered her true nature. Waking up with a bloody wound on his neck was only the start, and with the events of Charlotte feeding from him slowly returning to his memory, Stefan wanted nothing more than to get away from her. It was then that she confessed to being a vampire. Overwhelmed by the revelation, she later compelled Stefan to not be afraid and to accept her for what she truly was. Forced to endure what she’d obliged, Stefan grew familiar to her real identity and was no longer feeling any emotions of fear or repent.
Soon, the younger Salvatore had a meeting with his father and fearing for Charlotte’s life, he accidentally revealed what she was. Inevitably, the town’s hunters captured her. Feeling utter guilt over being responsible for her capture, Stefan forced Damon into helping him rescue Charlotte. However, their attempt was a failure and resulted in their own deaths. Both boys later awakened to find they weren’t completely dead, but were in transition after being shot with Charlotte’s blood in their systems. The first change Stefan noticed was his heightened senses; everything around him was a blur. But what he felt more than anything was a new hunger in him; a starvation that urged him to feed. He made a decision to find his father and confront him about everything, though it ended with Stefan’s need for blood becoming too strong that he eventually fed off of him and killed him. The only family he had left was his brother Damon, who had decided he didn’t want to be a vampire without Charlotte by his side. But Stefan couldn’t lead an eternal life without him; therefore, he forced Damon to feed on a young woman. Ever since, their bond just hasn’t been the same. Damon promised Stefan everlasting misery and walked out on him, leaving Stefan alone with his bloodlust. Over the century, it’s something he’s struggled with immensely. He’s returned to Beacon Falls for a fresh start but with Damon’s arrival, a new beginning is going to be much harder to achieve.

Hey guys! I’ll be around for a while, so any questions and applications you might have send them our way. We’d love to read them and add more people to our family.
Madelyn Fell is twenty-two years old. Everyone thinks she’s a college student but she’s really a hunter and she celebrates her birthday on May 30th. People say she looks like Lyndsy Fonseca and her character is currently unavailable for auditions.
L E T T H E P A S T H A U N T Y O U
Madelyn was one of the daughters born to Penelope and Tobias Fell, a gift of life that her parents grew to adore, as did her older brother, Theodore. She and her younger sister, Lindsay, were only a year apart and because of that they grew very close to each other, doing everything together. It was clear from the beginning that the young girl had her father’s wit and her mother’s determination, and it wasn’t until her twelfth birthday that she learned how useful these attributes would be. From a young age Madelyn knew what was expected of her; the Fells being one of the founding families of Beacon Falls, as well as one of the most respected, she knew that following in her ancestors footsteps was always a given. Whether she believed in their methods or not, it was what her family had been doing for centuries, it was what they had been trained for. They had been molded into the perfect killers, or hunters of the supernatural, as her father often referred to it, and Madelyn kept her sister as her number one partner. Hesitant at first, Madelyn knew she couldn’t let her parents and ancestors down. Normally, she would only kill if said creature proved to be a threat to the town. But, after a fateful day, the girl’s opinion took a extreme turn. Her little sister got torn apart by a werewolf when they were out for a little hunt, to make sure no creatures were harming people, although, they had no intention to kill anything if it was just a peaceful monster. Ever since that night, Madelyn Fell was changed.
Even though she’s not a skilled killer like her brother when it comes to track down these creatures, Madelyn made up for it in her merciless way of hunting, sparing no time when it come to shoot a monster between the eyes and staking them to rid the world of them. With a brother that could find any and every creatures, the Fell siblings made a formidable team, one that spared no life and showed no mercy. Brash, sarcastic and independent, Madelyn’s violent tendencies subsided when she started college, finally experiencing life as a normal teenage girl; who occasionally hunted supernatural beings in her spare time, but who still managed to keep her family’s secret. Although she appears to be a nice young girl, studying and trying to get through college, her whole behavior changes when she gets a gun in her hand, with only one mission set in her mind: kill. When she’s on the hunt, she is a completely different, seemingly heartless girl. Hearing of the Argents arrival in Beacon Falls, sparks an interest in the girl, wondering why a family of notorious hunters would decide to settle in the small town; often being told stories of Gerard Argent and her own grandfather, Franklin Fell, and their infamous hunting days. One thing’s for sure; Madelyn will not stop until the town is rid of supernatural creatures and she knows that, with the Argents in town, her job will only be easier.

Theodore Fell → Teddy’s always been pretty protective of his little sister; what big brother isn’t? And while it’s something Madelyn appreciates, she also knows she can protect herself. She doesn’t mind him stepping in sometimes, but most of the time, she likes to deal with her own business by herself. However, when the two are side by side, they make one hell of a team. Madelyn’s a great fighter on her own, but with Teddy, she’s even better.
Alaric Saltzman → For a guy who’s just come out of the woodwork, no one seems suspicious of Alaric at all. He’s got the perfect front; the new history teacher arriving from the big city, in search of small town life. But for Madelyn, this all seems too good to be true. In a place like Beacon Falls, there’s always more to the story, and mostly it’s something supernatural-related. Madelyn intends to uncover his secret.
Allison Argent → Knowing Allison isn’t involved in hunting at her age has Madelyn thinking the worst of her. Her parents must think she’s too weak to even let the poor girl know what her family are up to behind closed doors. Madelyn’s been watching Allison from a distance; not wanting to intervene, even if she believes she could do Allison a ton of good by giving her some guidance. This exactly what Madelyn plans to do the moment Allison discovers the truth. She’s stronger than she looks.
Derek Hale → Madelyn was in the same year as Derek in school, and while she’s always known of the Hale werewolves, her parents always gave her strict orders to leave them alone. Apparently, as a prominent pack in the Beacon County area, a war would rage out if they were to provoke even one of their betas. After Derek left town, Madelyn never heard about him again, not that she even cared. However, he’s now back and there’s got to be a reason why. If it involves trouble, Madelyn will be the first to put him down.

The following character’s haven’t made a significant post after their hiatus ended and are now on activity warning. They have 24 hours to make a significant post or message the main about their absence if they want to keep their role, otherwise the character will be opened for auditions:
We would love to see more activity on the dash, as well as plotting! Remember that you guys also have to plot so the plot can move forward. Thank you.
Caroline Forbes is sixteen years old. Everyone thinks she’s a student but she’s really a human and she celebrates her birthday on October 10th. People say she looks like Candice Accola and her character is currently unavailable for auditions.
L E T T H E P A S T H A U N T Y O U
Known for her insecurities, Caroline Forbes has made a name for herself by being on every school committee; there wasn’t a party that went unplanned, a school dance that went undecorated or unattended. If anything, the young girl busied herself with extracurriculars, including heading the cheerleading squad. On top of being determined, just like her mother, Caroline always displays a strong degree of leadership when dealing with school things and her fellow classmates, Caroline is often seen as an overachiever. In school, no surname was needed to talk about the blonde for everyone knew exactly who they were talking about. However, the surname Forbes was pretty known around town. With her mother as one the town’s renowned deputies and part of the town council, her name possesses a considerable amount of power in the small town of Beacon Falls. Even though her life began just like any other, the outcome was surely different from any other TV show she has ever seen. Even though divorced parents was a semi-normal thing, the reason behind her parents’ divorce was surely something that people don’t hear about every day. Her life was perfect up until her father woke up and realized that he was gay, soon divorcing Caroline’s mom and taking off with his boyfriend. Ever since then, Caroline hasn’t seen much of her dad and while she puts on a strong face, there’s a lot of hurting she’s hiding behind that smiling facade.
Despite having a confident exterior and being high on the social ladder, Caroline is also a bit neurotic, extremely insecure and competitive when it comes to boys, especially against her dear friend Elena Gilbert. Often comparing herself to her brunette friend, Caroline always complains about not being able to say the right thing, often ending in thinking she could never make a guy fall in love with her like Elena does. Caroline feels like she’s Elena’s shadow and every day she sees herself wanting to be the one to overshadow Elena instead. This particular feeling against her friend makes Caroline’s list of insecurities grow, thinking she’s never good enough for any guy to want her. In the beginning of her school year, everything in her life had changed again, just like they had when she was younger and her father left, planting all these questions in the back of the blonde’s mind. Elena’s parents died, Bonnie has been talking gibberish and the two of them have been closer to each other more now than ever. The two of them would always do things together, even during the summer. All of that only makes Caroline feel like the third wheel and, as a result, adds one more thing to the big pile of things Elena is better at than her. Always battling her insecurities and her competitive nature towards Elena, Caroline has been trying to excel herself at everything she’s part of, trying to beat Elena at something.
T I E S T H A T B I N D
Bonnie Bennett and Elena Gilbert → Caroline has known both of these girls all her life, although she’s not as close to them as you’d expect due to some differences they’ve had because of Caroline’s tendency to look at the shallow side of things. Caroline loves Elena, yet she can’t help but feel bitter towards the brunette merely because she’s jealous of her and all the attention she seems to get, even if she doesn’t want it. While Caroline feels closer to Bonnie, only because she doesn’t resent her as much as she does with Elena, the blonde knows that the three of them will always be friends no matter what happens.
Rebekah Mikaelson → Caroline might be shallow and, despite all the jokes about blondes, she’s not stupid. She’s noticed that the new girl, Rebekah, has been trying to squeeze her way into the popular crowd and every club and committee in school And, naturally, Caroline sees her as competition. There’s only one blonde that deserves to be at the top of every school committee, organizing every event and dance, and that’s Caroline.
Damon Salvatore → Dark, mysterious, new guy. Not to mention good looking. Those reasons alone were enough to draw Caroline’s attention towards Damon Salvatore, completely unaware of who — or rather, what — he is. All she knows is that she’s got to find out things about him and, with “friends” scattered all over town, it won’t be long until she has some info on him.
Stiles Stilinski → All Caroline remembers is that she and Stiles used to spend a lot of time together when they were little kids. With her mother as a deputy and his father as the Sheriff, Stiles would often be left with Caroline and her father while her mother and Stiles’ father worked all day, sometimes all night as well. That made the blonde and Stiles grew close as kids, making many memories, but, once they entered high school, they both started to hang out with different people and thus their friendship kind of withered away.
